Smith turned one year old on Wednesday of this past week. We did not see him on his birthday, which was fine, because the PARTY was on Saturday. And what a party it was ! It was probably the best first birthday party I have ever been to, including my own. (Although I have no memory of that one.) Kent is off for the summer so he has been home with Smith helping to get ready for the party. (At least I think he was helping.) Kristen has so much going for her right now that the party was just amazing. What I mean by that is first off, Kristen works for a company in Ft. Lauderdale that has a guest house and pool on their property so that when they have clients from across the world the clients have a place to stay and relax. The guest house and pool are available for use by employees so that is where the party was held. Kristen used all her talents from her stationary business and made all the decorations. There were adorable cup cake toppers. banners, photo's of Smith's first year on earth and lots of other really lovely decorations.
It was a beautiful day and the pool was Divine. Smith had a fantastic time, as did the 40 something other people who attended the party. Ger took over the BBQ so Kent could socialize and play with his son and between Ger and I we kept the food coming and the beer chilled.
